Storytelling Liberation is a new collaborative video installation consisting of five videos, each with a corresponding print, a temporary library and purpose-built display structures. Across the synced videos, totalling 105 minutes in duration, five international collaborators share their approach to telling stories about collective politics in their specific contexts. Collaborators include Pacific scholar, artist and activist Katerina Teaiwa of Banaban, I-Kiribati and African American heritage; the leading archive of the Greek Left ASKI Contemporary Social History Archives; Zambian artist and art historian Gladys Kalichini; North American queer-feminist media producer, theorist and activist, Alexandra Juhasz; and Mexican feminist narrative practitioners and activists Andrea Ortega and Diana Betanzos.
